The Theatre for Change course is an intensive collaborative project where the participants will get together to rehearse and perform a contemporary political theatre piece with the purpose of spreading awareness about important global issues like the climate crisis or the need for social justice.

WHAT IS IT?
The Theatre Course is an intensive project where the participants will get together to rehearse and perform a contemporary theatre piece. The play is a modern play about a relevant issue of our time – something to do with the climate crisis / social justice / solidarity politics. The course will be done in a “learning by doing” fashion – not so much theorising and discussion – more practical action and finding solutions together.
WHEN AND WHERE?
30 May – 3 July 2022
The theatre course takes place at DRH Lindersvold learning centre located in the east of Denmark 1 hour from Copenhagen. Here, participants live, study and work together for fourteen super intensive days.
DRH Lindersvold has 20 years of experience in facilitation courses in community development, planet protection, and certification in non-traditional pedagogy.
What to expect?
Anyone who is interested in drama and drama production, experienced and not experienced can take part in the course. Apart from actors on stage there is also a need for people who are interested in all things surrounding a drama production; costumes & props, sound & lights, music, video production and general organisation.

Meet Gert

Gert Tjoelker is a teacher at DRH Lindersvold – The Travelling Folk High School.
With a big heart for issues like planet protection, social justice, and solidarity politics, Gert has merged these important topics with his passion: Theatre.
Gert has participated in a number of political plays, both as an actor and as a director.
