Q) What was the main reason you joined our programme?
A) “I’ve always been convinced that we as a species have lost sight of our own purpose and now are destroying the environment with no sense, you could say loosing our humanity and with this reality you can only change this through personal and daily actions. When I applied to this program, I thought that this programme was a good chance to grow as a person”
Q) Describe what you got out of this experience
A)” In this programme I have learned a lot of skills I can use in the future, both practical and theoretical. My English has improved quite a lot, though it’s not perfect yet. But mostly I have learned from people who have taught me; the love for their communities, how to really live together, the respect of the others, the friendliness and availability, the curiosity for the world, the tenacity, the enthusiasm, the simplicity. I learn that only working together you can create change for the things you believe in.”
Q) What project did you work in? What was your responsibility? What did you archive?
A) In Malawi, I was part of DAPP with a special focus on a Preschools project working with the communities for the developing in the rural areas of the southern part of the country. Our main achievement working in the project was the construction of preschools in the area around DAPP college. With our fundraising, we managed to build, together with the people in the community, 6 structures in total.
Q) Has your programme influenced your decisions for your future?
A) “After I finished my programme have decided to continue working in this areas as a teacher, I will be training volunteers with a special focus on climate change”
